The gulf oil spill is one of the most devastating and wide reaching human caused disasters to date. The effects of this event will be felt for generations to come. Yet it is unlikely this will deter the continued dive to drill the ocean floor. We are too dependent on that thick brown goo. Nature be damned, but we will continue to drive our cars, no matter the cost. This is the cancer that is humanity, metastasizing in the planet with terminal results.
