It begins in the pit of your stomach. It's like hunger, but it's not quite the same. It's flesh you're after, but not for eating. This is a different kind of craving and, in some ways, it's even more demanding than regular hunger. You can feel the parts warming, filling with blood. You can feel the tension rising as the desire stretches like a rubber band about to snap. When it isn't acknowledged, it works its way into the darkest corners of your soul and simmers, reducing down into a black sludge of corrupted desire. When it is suppressed, the pressure of it pushes through the cracks in your soul and drives you into violating the most basic human mores. When it is embraced, it blooms like an infinite garden and sustains eternity.
