The band have been armed with the latest military issue and are ready to pound out the beat on your head. Your dance partner is from the other side of the tracks, but that’s never stopped anyone from cutting a rug up before. It’s a two step backdrop where the blood on the floor is just enough to help you glide into that finishing pose. Jazz hands are the same as hands up and they wear the cuffs just as stylishly. A baton for a drum stick keeps the timing just right for the cha-cha chorus line of high kicking corporal choreographers clutching riffles instead of prom queens. The big finish is just around the corner, so polish up your tap shoes to the rat-a-tat-tat of the machine gun.
