Millions of years ago, we began this journey. We pulled ourselves up from the mud and misery of subsistence. Thousands of generations suffered in ignorance and deprivation. Their lives were the foundation for everything we would ever build. Each generation would pave the road just a little bit further. Every life was a tiny step on an infinite path. We thought that we had all of eternity to get there. We thought that it was only a matter of time. But we were wrong. We had taken too much for granted. Now we are lost and headed for annihilation. The mother-ship is failing. The mother-ship is dying. We have abused its resources and it can no longer function. We have allowed it to become worn and in disrepair. The mother ship is lost. Our lifeboat drifts on an eternal ocean and rescue is impossible to see.

The bass dips deep and the rhythms churn with hypnotic swirls on this collection of dubbed out mood pieces. We're in the outer reaches of space and time here and there's no way home.

Is there anyone else out there? We don't know and, so far, no one has a way to know. All we do know is that we are here on this spec of dust adrift in an impenetrable vastness and completely dependent on that spec for everything we have. We are the spirits wandering the wastelands and searching for some connection to something outside ourselves. We live and die in the blink of a cosmic eye and wonder if there's anything out there that's paying attention. We cluster in anointed spaces and pretend to commune with sacred intellects whom we've never seen and have no proof exist in any way. We bank our future on bloated egos imagining answers to questions conceived in vacuums of ignorance. The Mothership is dying. It's time to stop counting on hallucinations and neurotic fantasies to come along and save us.
