about

It has been a long time since the creative urge has driven these hands to any kind of action. Mostly this has been the result of a general and persistent malaise whereby the process felt empty and meaningless. There didn’t seem to be much point to any of it and the effort appeared wasted. Perhaps that hasn’t changed and it still is all about pissing down a bottomless drain. The consideration has, in any case, become tedious and boring at the very least. Again something stirs within and drives these actions. Somehow that keyboard needs these hands to find their way across its surface. Some sounds are forcing their way out of the recesses of a brain that cannot control its instincts. The pointlessness now seems focused on the denial of the creative urge. It seems fruitless to question it. It’s also more fun to give in to it. Whether it means anything to anyone else was never really the question, but there has always been a desire to share in an unselfish way. It is the manner of a child who discovers some wonder and can’t help but try to share it with anyone else who might be around. The sad thing about the current state is that the emptiness comes from the lack of other children who have hung onto any sense of wonder about their world. Everyone is just too jaded to show any enthusiasm anymore. Poor old adults. If they only knew what they were missing.
